At Legal & General, our Discovery function plays a crucial role in understanding business challenges and identifying opportunities for meaningful improvement. As a Discovery Analyst, you’ll work with colleagues across the organisation to explore problems, analyse processes, and turn insights into recommendations that drive positive change.
What you’ll be doing:
Coordinating Discovery activities, including organising workshops, analysing data and mapping processes
Partnering with business stakeholders to understand current challenges and uncover improvement opportunities
Assessing pain points, risks, issues and dependencies and presenting clear, insight‑led recommendations
Working alongside technical and business SMEs to ensure high‑quality analysis and alignment
Supporting the development of options that contribute to divisional roadmaps and strategic priorities
Ensuring Discovery work aligns to best practice and internal change governance standards
Contributing to continuous improvement across the Discovery function and wider change teams
Guiding and supporting less experienced colleagues during assignments where required
Who we’re looking for:
Experience in business improvement, continuous improvement or business analysis
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate findings into meaningful insights
Confidence facilitating workshops, engaging stakeholders and leading structured conversations
Ability to work at pace on short, focused pieces of analysis
Knowledge of both agile and waterfall delivery approaches
Clear, concise communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
A collaborative mindset, working well with technical teams, SMEs and business partners
An organised, methodical approach with strong attention to detail
